The parade started off with re-enactors. These folks all dressed in uniforms of different wars.
Every so often they would shoot off their guns and the crowd would scream and applaud.
There's not much to say except we met Jill's Man, Thomas' family at the parade route.

Bill and I guessed at all year model of the old cars. I cheated and looked at the license plates.
Many of the cars had plates from the year of the car. My new glasses worked well.
So, the kids tend to hang out in the street closer to the parade participants.
Its usually hard candy and an occasional Tootsie Roll.
I got a new white cap. And a tootsie roll.

I'm a conservative and she is a liberal but she is always very receptive to taking a photo.
Yes, I vote for her and even put her sign on my front lawn.
In Chicago, signs are important in political races.
